Icarus Miniatures show off first sculpt

Icarus Miniatures show off first sculpt
Icarus Miniatures gained quite a bit of praise from the internet when the artwork for their female trooper looked like she was ready for battle and not about to start dancing around a pole. It was refreshing to see a female in sensible combat armour.

Now Icarus Miniatures have revealed the first digital sculpt for their upcoming sci-fi skirmish war game; the Icarus Project and it’s a bad ass bounty hunter with a big gun.

The first miniature to be announced is Gabriel Cross, a bounty hunter for the mercenary faction faction in the game. Gabriel Cross was designed by Daniel Comerci, who has also worked on the upcoming Nova Aetas.

The sculpting however was done by Prodos games, who you may remember we spoke to last year.  Icarus wanted to work with Prodos because of the quality of work they had already done on Warzone Resurrection and Alien vs Predator, but also because they’re based in the UK and can drastically decrease the shipping time.

The completed miniature will be able to buy directly from www.icarusminiatures.com around May and if you’re waiting for the full game Icarus Miniatures’goal is to set up a Kickstarter for the game in September.

Can’t wait that long? Then you can play the game now via the Alpha Rules available on their website.
