Pixelated brains: Surviving One Month In

Surviving One Month In
When the zombie apocalypse finally arrives us board gamers are all going to be well prepare because games like Surviving: One Month In have trained us in how to construct a base, working as a team and scavenging the wastelands.

If Zombicide is a zombie miniatures game, and Dead of Winter is a zombie traitor game then Surviving is a zombie area control and resource management game. Players will control rival groups of survivors, trying to survive.

You’ll send your people out into the zombie infested world to scavenge for supplies and claim territories for you faction. Your opponents can choose to aid you in your fight against the undead hordes, or they can be complete dicks and watch you get turned into a 3 course brain dinner.

Component wise the game is very simple, relying on dice, cubes and little flags. This is one of the reasons why it’s quite a good deal; £25 will get you a copy of the game. Where Surviving stands out is the hex tile artwork. Each tile is a beautifully illustrated, isometric pixel art, crammed full of detail and character.

Surviving: One Month in is on Kickstarter now.
